Dry Suit Diver (age 10+) 2 dives

Why Dry suit Diver?
If you're planning to dive in the UK then a drysuit is a must. This course is designed to be an introduction to dry suit diving and to help the student diver develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for dry suit diving.
What will I learn?
Gain the knowledge and skills to safely don, dive with, doff and store a dry-suit. Get introduced to the different types of suits so you can make a very informed decision if considering purchasing a dry suit. You learn:
- Dry suit buoyancy control skills
- Dry suit maintenance, storage and basic repair
- Undergarment (fleece or overall-type garments worn under the dry suit) options

Deep Diver (age 15+) 4 dives

Why PADI Deep Diver?
The Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime - going deep to see thing others can only dream about.
What will I learn?
- Techniques for diving in the deeper range of 18-40 metres/ 60-130 feet
Deep scuba diving equipment considerations
- Experience in planning, organizing and making at least four deep dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor

Enriched Air Nitrox (without dives) (age 15+)
Must be PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

Why PADI EANx (Nitrox) Diver?
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.
What will I learn?
The course emphasizes the theoretical and operational considerations involved with enriched air diving. You'll learn about planning dives using Nitrox. procedures, techniques and hazards.

What will I need?
The Enriched Air Diver crewpak which includes the Enriched Air Diver Manualand the Enriched Air Diving video on DVD. The crewpak also includes the 32%, 36% and the DSAT Oxygen Exposure tables.

Peak Performance Buoyancy (age 10+) 2 dives
Must be PADI Junior/Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

Why Peak Performance Buoyancy?
The purpose of the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is to polish a diver’s buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. The goal of PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy training is to enhance the student diver diver’s buoyancy control abilities through knowledge development and practical skills practice. During your Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you'll use PADI's Basic Weighting Guidelines to determine the correct amount of weight. Then you'll practice the fundamentals of peak performance buoyancy during two open water dives, including the buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, streamlining and visualization.
What will I learn?
· How to trim your scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water
· Nuances in determining weight so you’re not too light nor too heavy by even a slight degree
· How to streamline to save air and move smoothly through the water
· How to hover effortlessly in both a vertical position and a horizontal position

The Peak Performance Buoyancy manual and dvd.

Wreck Diver (age 15+) 4 dives
Must be PADI Junior/Adventure Diver (or equivalent)

Why Wreck Diver?
This course is designed to be an introduction to wreck diving and to help the student diver develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe wreck diving. The course can be taken on a dive trip to some wrecks in the Sound of Mull. Please contact us for further details.
What will I learn?
The course covers the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving. Subjects covered include the preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels as well as limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures.
- Techniques for diving exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards
- How to research and learn the background of your favorite wrecks
- Wreck scuba diving equipment considerations
- Considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks
- Experience in planning, organizing and making at least four wreck dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor

Search & Recovery (age 12+) 4 dives

This course is designed to be an introduction to search and recovery diving and to help the student diver develop the necessary skills and knowledge for safe search and recovery diving.
What will I learn?
- Search and recovery dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and how to deal with potential problems
- How to locate large and small objects using search patterns
- How to use a lift bag and other recovery methods
- Limited visibility search techniques
How long will it take?

Why Night Diver?
Learn about night dive planning, equipment and navigation. Plus, see a whole new cast of animals that come out at night. A familiar dive site takes on a whole new dimension when you dive at night.

- Night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems
- How to control your buoyancy at night
- Entries, exits and underwater navigation at night
- Nocturnal aquatic life, since many of the plants and animals you'll see are different

Underwater Navigator (age 10+) 3 dives

Why Underwater Navigator?
Find your way safely around the underwater world. This course teaches the skills you will need to find your way and maximize your underwater time.

- Navigation patterns
- Natural navigation (without a compass)
- Compass navigation
- How to “mark” or relocate a submerged object or position from the surface
- Underwater map making
- How to follow irregular courses with the Nav-Finder
- Dive site relocation
- How to estimate distance underwater
