Description

The Emergency First Responder course gives you the skills you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response prepares you to handle potentially life-threatening situations. In addition The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence. Subjects covered include self-rescue and diver stress, emergency management and first aid procedures for pressure-related injuries. A seriously fun course!

Prerequisites
:

Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
You must also have your own kit or hire it at £25 per day for Rescue Diver and above.

What will I do?

The EFR element of the course takes 1 day and is mainly practical with an open book exam. In addition for the rescue element there are 3 pool sessions, 1 classroom session as well as an open water weekend where you practice the many rescue skills you have been taught. The final day will consist of realistic scenarios where your skills will be tested to the full.
